ST. LOUIS, MO - January 21, 2025 - Magnatone LLC is proud to announce the newest edition in the Billy Gibbons Collection, Chrome Grape. For a limited time, all Master Collection models are being offered in this Chrome Grape cosmetic. Billy’s love of hot rod cars and custom paint colors were the inspiration behind this special colorway.
Using a multi-step finishing process that starts with 100% cotton fabric, a silver crocodile texture is embossed as an undercoat and then hand-tinted to Billy’s “Chrome Grape” taste using a nitro celluloid finish. With white piping and chrome hardware also included, this special collection is guaranteed to shine.
“I can’t wait to get my hands on them Chrome Grape Magnatones! Gonna be killer,” Gibbons said. When in the studio or at home, Billyhas been using a new Magnatone Baby M-80 as pictured above. The Baby M-80 utilizes a pair of 6AQ5 NOS tubes that Magnatone engineer Obeid Khan is particularly fond of for its power, reliability and vintage tone. The Baby M-80 is available as a 1x10” Combo or as a Head and matching 1x10” speaker cabinet.
Chrome Grape is offered in all Master Collection models including the Baby M-80, Super Fifteen and Super Fifty-Nine M-80. The collection also includes all models available as combos, heads, and speaker cabinets. These models also include a certificate of authenticity.
